An exhibition of 50 paintings by NSW school students from Kindergarten to Year 10 for children in hospital. Art is an initiative of the Westmead Children's Hospital, the NSW Department of Education and Training and the Art Gallery of NSW and supported by the Nelson Meer Foundation. The exhibition was conceived by Dr John Yu to create a positive environment to aid the recovery process of young patients. Also on display is a multi-sensory installation on a musical theme by local artist Geoff McSkimming, complemented by ambient music specially written by nationally acclaimed composer David Slater.

Centered around the Coffs Harbour Showground, the weekend of the 10th and 11th June 2006 culminates with a Street Parade, Tattoo, Highland Gathering, Kids Entertainment and family fun.

Slava Grigoryan

Multi-award winning classical guitarist. Born in Khazakstan, he emigrated with his family to Australia in 1981 and began studying guitar with his father, a professional violinist at the age of 7. As a major prize winner at the Tokyo International Classical Guitar Competition, Slava was signed by Sony Music Entertainment in 1995 and released four solo albums. In 1995, Slava began touring Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, and of course his home continent of Australia. Slava has recorded for ABC Classics in Australia.
In 1998, he was awarded the Young Australian of the Year for the Arts, and the 'MO' award for Instrumentalist of the Year in 2001. Slava also won the ARIA for Best Classical Album in 2002 and 2003.
